Software for service businesses · Web & iOS

Two products for the work.
Pick the one your business is doing today.

S Invoice handles the estimates, invoices and getting paid. S Protocol runs the whole operation — jobs, schedules, technicians and the money behind them. Same account architecture, so starting small never means starting over.

S Protocol

Every job, every technician, one board.

The morning starts here. Who is working, what is booked, what is running late, and what is still unassigned — without a group chat and three calendars.

The S Protocol dispatch board: technician columns for a single day, with an unassigned lane.

How the work moves

One record follows the job from the phone call to the payment.

Nothing gets retyped between stages. The customer, the technician, the estimate and the invoice are all the same thread — which is why the history is still there a year later when they call back.

  1. 1

    Customer calls

Or a website form arrives. It lands as a lead with the address and the problem already attached.

  2. 2

    Job booked

Pick the slot, pick the technician. The schedule and the board update together.

  3. 3

    Technician works

Status, notes and photos from their phone. The office sees it without asking.

  4. 4

    Estimate → invoice

Approved work converts straight to an invoice against the same job.

  5. 5

    Paid and filed

Card, Tap to Pay on iPhone or cash. It reconciles to the invoice and stays in the customer’s history.

One family

Same workspace. More capability.

S Invoice and S Protocol are two products on one foundation. Adding the operations layer is not a move, an export or a fresh start — the same business, the same customers, the same numbering, with more of the work inside it.

S Invoice today

  • Customers
  • Estimates
  • Invoices & numbering
  • Payments & refunds
  • Company details
  • Reports & statements

S Protocol adds

  • Jobs
  • Scheduling
  • Dispatch board
  • Technicians
  • Team roles
  • Team chat
  • Tap to Pay on iPhone
  • Site leads
  • Price book
  • Operational analytics

Your invoice history stays visible in the new CRM. Job invoices created in S Protocol stay on the operations side, so the S Invoice list you know does not fill up with dispatch paperwork.

The one condition, stated plainly: activating S Protocol on an existing S Invoice workspace starts on a paid S Protocol plan, and the workspace owner is the one who does it. Creating a free S Protocol account instead is a separate signup with a fresh, empty workspace.

What the customer receives · the real document

A document that looks like your business, not like a spreadsheet.

Send a link or a PDF. Your customer opens it on their phone, sees exactly what the work was, and pays by card without creating an account. You can give the invoice a plain-language title — “Hanging” — while the number stays the number.

Where this came from

Built by people running the jobs. The first workspace was an appliance repair business — and it still runs on this.

Every workflow here started as a problem somebody had on a Tuesday morning: a technician stuck without the history, an invoice nobody chased, a job assigned twice. That is the reason the dispatch board looks the way it does, and the reason S Invoice exists separately for people who only need the paperwork.

Questions worth answering properly

The things people ask before signing up.

What happens when I hit the Free limit?

You stop being able to create new invoices of that kind until you upgrade. Nothing is hidden, locked or deleted — every invoice, payment and customer you already have stays fully readable. The allowance is one-time per business, not monthly, and deleting a document does not give it back.

Can I move from S Invoice to S Protocol later?

Yes, and it is not a migration. S Protocol is activated on the same workspace, so your customers, invoices, estimates, company details and invoice numbering are simply still there. The owner starts it from Settings, and that first activation is on a paid S Protocol plan. A free S Protocol account is instead a separate signup with an empty workspace.

Is there a free trial of Pro?

No. There is a Free plan with a real allowance instead, and it uses the same product Pro does — not a stripped demo. We would rather you test the real thing than race a countdown.

Do I pay per technician?

No. S Protocol Pro has no team-member limit and no per-seat charge. Add the dispatchers and technicians the business actually employs.

What if I stop paying?

Your data is never held hostage. If a subscription lapses or is cancelled, you keep read access to everything and drop back to Free limits for creating new records. Cancelling mid-period keeps Pro running until the period you paid for ends.

Which currencies can I invoice in?

S Invoice documents can be USD, CAD, EUR or GBP, and online card payments work in all four. The currency is stamped when the document is created and never converted afterwards. In-person card payments are USD only for now.

Do both products work on iPhone?

Yes — both run on the web and on iPhone. There is no Android app, and we will not claim one until there is.

Can I use both products at once?

Yes. A workspace with both keeps its S Invoice side working exactly as before. Customers are shared across both; invoices raised against dispatched jobs stay on the S Protocol side so your invoicing list does not fill up with operational paperwork.
